Known Issues and Fixes

  • If you get a crash with the message 'Fatal Error: Can not create vertex buffer of size 147456 bytes' or similar try downloading the TNLoGI-VertexCompatible.exe version of the game. (Please let me know whether this fixes the issue for you)
  • If you get an error along the lines of 'FATAL ERROR in Vertex Shader compilation' you may not have DirectX Runtime. This can be installed here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=35

I discovered this game and I would like to play it. I get the following error, I saw that I am not the only one, is there a solution about it? (I clarify that you also download the alternative version. VertexCompatible)

I love getting lost in libraries

The vertex compatible version didn't fix it for me (then again, I'm playing on a Linux with Wine)

Great and a cute puzzle game, last puzzles are very hard and i still am very confused. Hard but fun!

(1 edit)

Didn't expect to see you here

It was kinda slow for me but that was probably just the computer and me wandering around. Puzzles were pretty easy for me

It crashes also make a mac version

Really cool, but a lot more resource intensive than it looks.

(1 edit)

I just stumbled into a pixel world with intriguing puzzle, a stack of returned books with dubious titles, magical lift/stairs/ladders and actually the entire corridors of the building that didn't work normally like what they seem, and of course the ability of staying alive after jumping from third floor instead of taking the magical lift.....

...and felt a pang of regrets to left/close the experience. I would love to be a real librarian or at least a regular visitor of this paradoxical site :D

Can you make a mac version of this game? Also, based on the small file size, it makes me think the game may be procedurally generated. Is there an actual end to the game?

How the heckity heck did you do this 3d first person stuff in gamemaker?

This was super fun! I love this type of stuff :D

An enjoyable little game!

A fix attempting to resolve the Vertex Buffer fatal issue has been posted. See TNLoGI-VertexCompatible.exe in the downloads. Please let me know whether or not this fixes the issue if you originally had it.

This has some wonderful puzzles, I enjoyed trying to figure them out.

Great puzzles! Now I want wander in weird spaces for hours :D

I really love this puzzle design idolatrous! The hints are often very subtle and then it suddenly makes "Click!" in the head, when one comes across the solution. The discovery of the library with all its peculiarities has given me a lot of fun. :) That's why I wrote a recommendation article for your game on our blog and also uploaded a playthrough video for all those poor souls who are already standing frustrated in front of all these bookshelves.  :D Good luck with the ratings at Ludum Dare 42, I hope for a high ranking for you. <3

Best wishes,
Sebastian

Can confirm I also got this bug.

I too got this message

Thanks for the message. I have attempted a fix (see known issues in description), but cannot be sure if it works as I can't replicate the crash on my system.

Great game! Loved every second playing it. Puzzle design is amazing too, and the difficulty curve is perfect

Tried to play it but got a big fat code error crash.
